British Gymnastics have announced the names of the Acrobatic Gymnastics teams who have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 20th World Championships and 4th International Age Group Championships in Coimbra, Portugal from 11-19th June and 19-25th June respectively. The gymnast’s include International debuts for Harrow where 3 of their groups will represent Great Britain, plus Spelthorne’s new 11-16 Trio where Amy Buckingham, Paris Lever and new top Roisin Evans qualified for the International Age Group Championship’s in only their second competition for this exciting new Trio!

Women’s Pairs
Amy Crow, Julie Cameron Wakefield - Gold Medalist’s at the British Championships 2006. Julie won Silver medal at the World Games 2005 and bronze in the European Championships in 2005 with partner Yvonne Walsh. Julie is newly paired with Amy Crow who won Gold at the European Age Group Games in 2005 with Julie’s sister Sarah Cameron

Gold Medalist’s Limes Acro Cup, Germany, March 2006 as new 11-16 Women’s pair. 4th place in Junior European’s 2005 in Women’s Group with Emily Grove, Gold Medalist’s British Tournament 2005 as trio, and Gold British Championship’s 2005 12-19 Women’s Group.

Men’s Pair
Dorian Walker, Stephen Raine - Deerness Valley - Won Silver at European Age Group Games in 2005 with Men’s Group of Adam Shanley, Dorian Walker, Alex Houston and Stephen Raine now competing as Men’s Pair.
Mixed Pair
Douglas Fordyce, Shelly Evans - King Edmund - Great performance at Second Trials at Lilleshall where they came 1st after finishing in 7th place at the British Championships 2006.
Women’s Group
Amy Buckingham, Paris Lever, Roisin Evans - Spelthorne - Amy and Paris won Silver at European Age Group Games 2005 with Georgia Sturt. Only 2nd competition with new top Roisin Evans who made their debut as a new Trio at Limes Acro Cup n Germany in March where they won bronze. Georgia is now with James Palmer who was a European Age Group Games Gold Medalist in 2005 with Lauren Kemp. Georgia & James won Silver at the British Championships in 2006, and finished 3rd in Trials and are hoping to gain selection next year.

The Team’s and Coaches will attend a preparation training camp at the National Gymnastics Centre, Loughborough on 2-3 June (World Championships Team) and 3-4 June (International Age Groups Team).
